a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer is looking to add a Production Superintendent to the team! This position will be in charge of the second shift.
This position is eligible for our sign on bonus program.
Details are below:
$2,000 Sign On Bonus 3 step program Must meet sign on bonus eligibility requirements $500 paid after completion of one (1) month (30 days) of employment $500 paid after completion of three (3) months of employment $1,000 paid after completion of six (6) months of employment This role will manage all aspects of manufacturing operations, including Human Safety, Quality, Production, Processing, Maintenance, and Warehouse while insuring regulatory and environmental compliance.
This Position will also facilitate team meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The primary responsibility will be achieving Safety goals, while producing Quality products at or below budget.
Essential Skills and Abilities Drive and develop the culture of safety first.
Accountable for the safety of all plant personnel, contractors, and visitors to the facility on second shift.
Demonstrates effective leadership and problem-solving acumen and hold staff accountable for achieving results.
Control headcount to align with and improve direct labor targets.
Responsible for managing positive employee relationships with the support of HR.
Must maintain high service levels (CTS), meet, and exceed safety and quality KPIs.
Provide root cause to issues.
Advise and implement yield loss initiatives.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and driving environmental excellence.
Manages resources to maximize returns and drive employee development, productivity and asset utilization.
Provide effective written and verbal communication to all internal and external business associates.
Drive Operational Excellence in various areas to achieve Productivity goals by using Lean methods, various data analysis, and solid leadership to engage all team members.
Ensures compliance to budget and production schedules, monitors production output and quality data, and oversees compiling of reports for management review (KPI's).
Participates in planning/scheduling and providing information to support business unit activities.
Leads and develops the 2nd shift team along with overseeing all salaried staff development plans and reviews.
Complete other assignments as requested.
Education/ Experience Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, or other program with relevant manufacturing experience.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Understanding of bottle filling and finished goods packaging.
Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing operations role.
Minimum three years managerial experience.
Working knowledge of Lean required Black Belt certification desirable.
Ability to relocate within the organization for career advancement and enrichment opportunities.
Proficient PC Skills and Microsoft Office Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward project goals.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
